Stainless steel fermentor is an industrial device for microbial fermentation. Its main body is a main cylinder made of stainless steel plate with a volume of 1m3 to hundreds of M3. The structure should be tight and reasonable in design and processing. It can withstand steam sterilization, have certain operation flexibility, reduce internal accessories as far as possible (avoid dead angle), strong material and energy transfer performance, and can be adjusted to facilitate cleaning, reduce pollution, suitable for the production of a variety of products and reduce energy consumption.
The structure of stainless steel fermentor for anaerobic fermentation (such as alcohol and solvent production) can be simpler. The fermentation tank for aerobic fermentation (such as the production of antibiotics, amino acids, organic acids, vitamins, etc.) needs to continuously pass a large amount of sterile air into the tank, and in order to consider the utilization rate of the air, the structure of the fermentation tank is relatively complex. The commonly used fermentation tanks are mechanical stirring fermentation tank, bubbling fermentation tank and air lift fermentation tank.
Tips for using stainless steel fermentor:
1. Pay special attention to the pH electrode and vulnerable and expensive parts of the tank body when installing, disassembling and sterilizing the tank body.
2. During fermentation, the worktable must be kept clean, the used culture bottles and other items should be cleaned up in time, and the acid-base liquid or water splashed out for some reason should be wiped dry immediately.
3. Before turning on the power supply of stainless steel fermentation tank, be sure to check whether the cooling water has been turned on and whether the temperature probe has been inserted into the tank, otherwise the heating circuit will be burnt out.
4. Before sterilizing the tank body, the liquid level must be checked, and all electrodes should be below the liquid level.
According to the equipment of stainless steel fermentation tank, it is divided into mechanical stirring ventilation stainless steel fermentation tank and non mechanical stirring ventilation stainless steel fermentation tank; according to the growth and metabolism needs of microorganisms, it is divided into aerobic stainless steel fermentation tank and anaerobic fermentation tank.
